Brown Cow

Picture
How Now Brown Cow was rescued from auction.  As he went through, skinny, lethargic, and with not many people bidding on him, I took the leap.  He was purchased for $75.  He was immediately seen by our veterinarian and placed on antibiotics for pneumonia.  After several courses of treatment with no improvement, we had to take into consideration quality of life.  Brown Cow's pneumonia had compartmentalized and he was suffering.  There was a reason he was at auction, skinny, lethargic, and had no one was bidding on him.  Sometimes rescue doesn't have the happily ever after we hope for.  Sometimes rescue means just giving love, warmth, security, and the dignity of a humane euthanasia. We did our best and he knew love.....
