Chester

Meet the resident goofball! Chester's personality is as cheesy as his silly, hillbilly bucktoothed grin! This funny boy loves attention, a good head scratch and, clearly, is willing to smile for the camera!
Toby’s Legacy was contacted about “Chester” who was found abandoned by Riverside County Animal Control in May 2012. He is a chestnut Quarter horse, 16 hands and is estimated to around 25-30 years old, although he wears his age very well! Chester arrived to the ranch thin. His teeth and feet weren't too bad which leads us to believe he was cared for up until recently. A very easy-going guy, he loves to be rubbed and scratched on his neck. Chester trailers nicely, stands tied at rail for farrier and baths. He can be cinchy with the saddle tacking up but rides nicely. Even though he’s a pretty lazy fellow, he is dominant in a herd. Chester is never mean to other horses but he demands respect and gets it.
Chester has been entered into our sanctuary program and will live out the remainder of his life with us.
