Jewel

Jewel came from the Fallon Feedlot. She arrived there with several other mares and is said to be from a bronc breeding ranch. The same ranch Misty came from. She was sold and when the brand inspection was being done the buyer had to back out. The fees were paid but there was no home and no name for the paperwork. So, they contacted me. She arrived thin, covered in ticks, and as wild as the day is long. She completed quarantine and decided she wanted to be in the paddock next door with Misty and Darby. Being the draft X she is, she pretty much just went through the fencing and there she has stayed. She looks to be 3-4 years old and a BIG girl. At this time she is not handle able. At TLERS we have no agenda. We work at their pace and schedule. We know, eventually, she will trust.
Jewel has progressed leaps and bounds. Jewel is now halter broke, leads nicely, and is picking up her feet. She LOVES attention and is looking for a home with an experienced owner willing and able to invest the training she needs.
Congratulations to Jewel and her family. Big adventures await.
