Meet Natives R Restless (great-grandson of Secretariat)

In September 2012, Toby’s Legacy saw an ad about "Natives R Restless," a 4-year-old Thoroughbred gelding and great-grandson of US Triple Crown Champion Secretariat, who was in immediate need of a new home. Natives was picked up by Toby’s Legacy on September 26, 2012. Although Natives was being trained for the racetrack, he never raced and is not tattooed. He is very smart, very handsome and a truly good horse.
A great deal of time and training was put into Natives by his previous owner before it was determined he was unsuitable to race. He is, however, an absolutely beautiful horse with amazing potential and a very playful personality. He was given to our rescue, complete with foaling papers and veterinary records, so that he could be given the opportunity to reach that potential.
Natives was being fostered by Dawn Pierce at Paradise Valley Ranch. Dawn found Natives to be smart and charming and a fast learner. In fact, she became so impressed with him and his silly personality that a "Foster Failure" took place when she realized his temporary placement with her should be permanent. Natives has been adopted by Dawn and will live out his life at Paradise Valley Ranch!
RIP Natives. Tragically, Natives had to be euthanized following a trailering accident.
