Stevie
Stevie is an approximately one year old, visually impaired, female pitbull puppy. Toby's Legacy was contacted by a friend who's ranch hand was keeping this beautiful girl in a very small enclosure, on the dirt, in the sun with no shelter or bed and no human interaction. The owner agreed to relinquish ownership to TLER and we brought her home to our ranch in hopes of finding her the loving, forever home she deserved. Shortly after her arrival we all were smitten with this little dog. Despite her handicap, she navigated around the ranch with ease. Occasionally running into a fence or two, she would remain unfazed and would never leave our sides. She settled in like she had been on our ranch forever. One day, our farrier came out for his normal appointment and it was love at first sight. Even though, he told us he hoped she would find another home, he later revealed to us that he would have been devastated if she had. Less than a week later, he contacted us asking if she was still here and wanted to come take her home right away. At her new home, she is spoiled rotten and has two doggie friends and two kitties to play with. The best part of the story is he brings his dogs to work with him and we will get to see this little love whenever he is out!! We could not have hoped for a happier ending for this wonderful little dog!
