Meet Dahlia
Dahlia is a seal bay Arabian cross. She is approximately 18 years old, 14H, and came to Toby's Legacy very pregnant. Dahlia arrived in good health (she was one of the lucky ones) when she was rescued by Toby's Legacy. With a baby coming any day, we couldn't get her safe and sound fast enough!
Like Logan, Sora, and Hurricane, three other recent arrivals to Toby's Legacy, Dahlia was originally rescued from a hoarding situation in Anza (where Mouse, a Toby's Legacy Success Story, came from) and the new owner was no longer able to afford her care.
Dahlia is not broke to ride.. She knows her ground work, Stands tied, and for farrier. She trailers nicely and is as sweet as they come. She is deeply bonded to Logan. I made them a promise to keep them together. So, they are sanctuary residents!
Oh sweet Dahlia. After the tragic loss of Logan in his mid to late 30's Dahlia was never the same. She joined him at the rainbow bridge just six months after his passing.
